What is CACREP?
CACREP, Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, is the accreditation body for the counseling profession. Accredited counselor training programs are reviewed regularly by CACREP and must demonstrate they are providing quality training that meets the CACREP Standards and Policies. Do you have experience working in CACREP accredited settings?
Yes, all of my graduate training and faculty member experiences occurred in CACREP accredited counselor training settings. I currently work as a faculty member and training clinic director in a CACREP accredited counseling department. I have also participated as a faculty member in two CACREP site visits that each resulted in full reaccreditation.
How often do you participate in continuing education?
I complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education per year. I also participate in continuing education as a trainer for other professionals and I continue to learn as an educator or counselors in training.
Do you offer evening appointments?
Yes, I offer appointments throughout the day and including evenings. Please complete request form to inquire about evening availability.

Do you accept insurance?
I am not paneled with any insurance companies at this time. If you would like to use insurance, I am happy to work with you to provide necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance.
Do you offer in-person or online services?
I offer in-person services in Bozeman, Montana, and I offer online services via a video meeting platform to anyone residing in Montana. Please complete request form if you are interesting in initiating in-person or online counseling services.
How often is group counseling offered?
Groups will be scheduled as soon as there are at least five people interested in participating. Group meetings will then occur once per week for six weeks. At the conclusion of the six-week group, new group opportunities may be offered depending on interest. If you are interested in group counseling, let me know by clicking here.
What are the meeting day/time options for intensives?
I will work with you to establish a plan that is best for your needs. Many people prefer 3 days planned over a weekend with meetings throughout the day. That said, those who are interested in other options should reach out to discuss your preferences.
Do you offer mental health services for children?
No, I offer mental health services for teens and adults. I can provide referrals to appropriate mental health professionals who provide services for children. If you are seeking referrals, I recommend looking for a registered play therapist credentialed by the Association for Play Therapy (APT) (https://www.a4pt.org/search/custom.asp?id=3571) or searching for professionals in your area using the appropriate filters on mental health directory websites.
How long are counseling sessions?
I offer a variety of session lengths from 30 minutes (1/2 hour) to 120 minutes (2 hours) and will consider all requests. I recommend that individuals plan for at least 45 minutes and couples/families plan for 90 minutes. Submit a request to schedule a brief consultation to discuss what is best of your counseling needs and goals.
Do you follow HIPAA compliance requirements?
Yes, confidentiality and HIPAA compliance are very important.
Are you accepting inquiries about supervision contacts?
Yes, I am currently accepting inquiries. Please submit a request form and include a brief overview of your supervision needs.
What should I include in my supervision contract inquiry?
Please include the anticipated start date of supervision and duration of the supervision contract, number of supervisees, experience level of supervisee, number of licensed clinical staff on site, and anticipate caseload of each supervisee.
What is the difference between counselors in training and counseling licensure candidates?
Counselors in training are currently enrolled in a master's degree counseling and have not yet completed their degree. Counseling licensure candidates have completed their master's in counseling, currently licensed as a PCLC, and have not yet attained their LCPC.
What topics can I seek consultation to discuss?

Do you offer trainings?
Yes, I am happy to offer in-person or online trainings. I provide trainings on a variety of topics with the most common being supervision, specific counseling interventions or modalities, teaching, and running a clinic. Click here to request a training.
